We will take you from Marrakech to the Palmeraie on the outskirts of the city where you begin your adventure. After being issued with a safety helmet, balaclava and goggles (essential for the dust), we have a short safety briefing, and then we’re off on a 40km trek of the arid landscape, stopping a couple of times for water and mint tea.

The cost of this activity is 70GBP for a dune buggy driver and 20GBP for a passenger (you’re free to swap places as often as you like).

Day 1

After an early start in Marrakech, we stop for breakfast and cross the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass over the Atlas Mountains, dropping down the other side to Ait Ben Haddou, the hill-fort featured in Gladiator and a host of other Hollywood blockbusters.  After some lunch and the obligatory souvenir photos, we continue through the movie-making town of Ouarzazate and onwards to the stunning Dades Gorge where we stay for the night in a basic hotel.  It’s worth bringing some swim-wear if you want to take advantage of the hotel pool before the sun sets over the mountains.

Day 2

Leaving the hotel, we continue to the beautiful Todra Gorge, another great place for some pictures.  After this we head into Merzouga and swap the minibus for a camel, the traditional method of travel in these parts.  90 minutes of riding through the dunes and we arrive at the desert camp where musicians prepare a fire, fresh tagines and drumming for the evening.  Check out the stars and see how your Saharawi drumming skills are!

Day 3

Back onto the camel for sunrise for the ride back to the minibus and the long return drive back to Marrakech.  We stop at Ouarzazate for lunch and a leg stretch before re-tracing our steps over the Tizi-n-Tichka and back to your accommodation in the city.

I, the undersigned, hereby accept that river rafting, river bugging, river duckies, canyoning, paintball, quad biking, mountain biking, dune bugging, hot air balloon rides and abseiling, as with all adventurous activites, have inherent risks. I understand there is a chance I may fall into cold, moving water during water-based activities and may be out of my depth. I also acknowledge that I am confident in water and have made staff at Splash Morocco fully aware of any medical conditions or medical history that may inhibit me or impair my ability to take part in any adventure activities, including (but not limited to) those listed above. I hereby agree to listen and follow any instructions given to me by the Splash Morocco staff. By completing the form below and clicking ‘Submit’ I accept these conditions – this does not release Splash from their obligations and does not affect my legal rights.

1. Splash Morocco reserves the right to change the venue or to postpone or cancel any trip if we feel water levels or weather conditions on the day of the trip are incompatible towards a safe trip.
2. Splash Morocco accept bookings either by email, through our website (http://moroccoadventuretours.com) or via telephone.
3. Bookings are accepted when Splash Morocco receives your NON REFUNDABLE deposit. Splash Morocco reserves the right to make exceptions to the above where instances dictate.
4. All cancellations must be advised as early as possible by the person who originally made the booking contacting Splash Morocco by telephone or email. Cancellations are accepted as from the date Splash Morocco receives the verbal or electronic/email confirmation of cancellation.
5. Cancellations incur the following charges:
   • Date of booking to 10 days prior to the trip taking place – client will lose their non-refundable deposit.
   • Final numbers of participants must be confirmed by telephone or email no later than 10 days prior to the trip. Failure to do this will result in the client being charged for the full amount of persons booked.
   • For bookings made via third party agents your contract is with them and not Splash Morocco. Any refunds from cancellations has to be from the agent not Splash Morocco.
6. Payment for most activities is due 10 days before the activity is scheduled. For quad biking, dune buggies and hot air balloon flights, this is due on the day of activity in cash – British pounds or Dirham.
7. Splash Morocco reserve the right to make alterations to brochure details, and any other company documents, before and after any booking has been received and confirmed. Most of these changes will be minor and in most cases we will inform you at the earliest opportunity.
8. While Splash Morocco carries full Public Liability Insurance, it is strongly suggested that participants carry their own personal accident policy that covers them for the activity they are undertaking. For wet activities this should include river rafting up to and including Grade 5 white-water. Personal accident policies are usually available from your own insurance broker.
9. ALL participants must be made aware by the person booking the trip that whitewater rafting, as well as other outdoor adventurous activities, carries a degree of risk. While Splash Morocco has tried to minimise these risks, there is still a chance that participants may fall into cold, turbulent water that is fast flowing. Participants will only be accepted on the understanding that they are aware of these risks and wish to participate of their own free will.
10. Splash Morocco reserve the right to refuse participation to clients that they believe to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and in such circumstances no refunds shall be given. Similarly if you are prevented from continuing an activity due to the persistent disregard of instructions, or due to you putting yourself or others at risk, no refund shall be given.
11. On signing the ‘Trip Reservation’ or Company paper, or receiving your trip confirmation, you agree to honour and abide by the terms and conditions laid down by Splash Morocco, and have made all the participants in your party aware of these terms and conditions.
